Our General Meeting on Tuesday, October 6th, featured: "ACUG's Computer Classroom". The meeting is held as round table discussion that includes featured presentations.

Bring your questions and computer problems to the meetings, and let the group help you with suggestions and solutions. The atmosphere is friendly and suited to both beginners, intermediate and expert users.

Our Featured Presentations:

"Wireless In The Mother Lode" Darrell Slocum, Marketing & Communications Director for Golden State Cellular,  presented at our October 6th meeting. Darrell suggested that a more appropriate title might be: "Why Won't My Cell Phone Work Anywhere and Anytime I Want It To?" The group obtained a better understanding of cell phone coverage in our area. In addition he discussed Mobile Computing including options currently offered and supported in our area as well as a summary of upcoming changes - the future of wireless communications! We asked him to allow a significant block of time for Q & A, and members brought great questions!

Raffle Prizes

To add to your enjoyment, we held our usual Mystery Raffle at the end of the meeting to help fund ACUG's community service efforts. Our Mystery Raffle prizes are announced during the meeting. Prize winners are drawn at the end of the meeting, and you must be present to win.

Program Schedule and Meeting Notes: The ACUG Library Raffle Ticket Sales and Membership table will open for business at 6:45 PM The meeting starts at 7 PM with an introduction by the President. ACUG's Computer Classroom starts at 7:10 PM Questions are welcome. Bring your tips to share. Featured Presentations start at 7:30 PM.  Break and Raffle 8:00 PM. There are at least 3 prizes offered. You must be present to win.  Classroom Q & A  resumes at 8:10 PM Meetings end at 8:30 PM.
