November 2009 General Meeting:
Our
General
Meeting
on Tuesday, November 3rd, will feature: "ACUG's Computer
Classroom". The meeting is held as round table discussion
that includes featured presentations.
Bring your questions and computer
problems to the meetings, and let the group help you with
suggestions and solutions. The atmosphere is friendly and suited to
both beginners, intermediate and expert users.
Our Featured
Presentations:

"Microsoft Windows 7" presented by Eric Butow
of BCG. On October 23, Microsoft released its newest operating system
Windows 7 to the public. This promises to be faster to boot, easier to use and even more secure
than Vista. The OS has touch screen capability built in for the
latest touch screen monitors now coming on the market. Windows Media
Center and the right hardware allows you to watch shows for free
when and where you want with Internet TV. Come see what it is all about!
In general, if your PC can run
Windows Vista it can run Windows 7. To make sure, download and run
the
Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from Microsoft. Choose the edition of
Windows that's best for you. Be sure to check the expanded list of
extended features in Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional,
and Windows 7 Ultimate. System requirements vary for each edition of
Windows 7 because some features might require special hardware.
"Questions Are
Welcome" Be sure to attend this important event! This is your chance to ask the expert.
