Bytes and Bits Newsletter:

Bytes and Bits is the award-winning official newsletter of the Amador Computer Users Group. Winner of "Runner-Up Best Design" for small newsletters, in the Intergalactic User Group Officers Conference Ten Newsletter Contest in 1997 (Editor Paul Kelly), the Association of PC User Groups Small Groups Newsletter  2nd Place Winner in 2004, (Editor Karen Crabtree), and the Association of PC User Groups Small Groups Division Newsletter Contest:  3rd Place Winner in 2007, (Editor Barbara Kreiss).

Published monthly in Adobe PDF format, the newsletter offers the Schedule of Events, This Month's Meeting, Last Month's Meeting, Special Interest Group Meetings schedule, ACUG Board Meeting Notes, Helping Hands, Library Update, President's Message, Nibbles and Bits, Seen in the News, SIG reports, and numerous articles of general interest including reviews, tips and how-to's. In addition, computer related classified ads (free to members) and business ads are accepted.

Submissions:

Club members are welcome to submit classified ads, reviews, tips, and other articles for publication, to our newsletter editor in Microsoft Word format (.doc), WordPerfect 6.x format, or plain text (.txt) format. Publishing deadlines are the 15th of the month for ads, 17th of the month for articles. Please refrain from using tabs or special formatting. Or mail them in one of the above formats on a CD-R to:

Newsletter ads are to be camera ready or in a high quality .JPG format and delivered to the editor by the 15th of the month. Classified ads for computer-related items only, are free to ACUG members and will be included in the newsletter on a space available basis. Business cards front and back are not guaranteed to be placed side by side. Cards can not be "joined together" to make a larger ad.
