May 2008 General Meeting:
Our General
Meeting on Tuesday,
May 6th, will feature: "ACUG's Computer
Classroom". Members have been asking for a night classroom
experience similar to our popular New Users Special Interest Group
held in the afternoon,
and we are answering the call by trying out a new format for our
General Meeting.
Bring your questions and computer
problems to the meeting, and let the group help you with suggestions
and solutions. The atmosphere is friendly and suited to both
beginners, intermediate and expert users.
Our Featured Presentations
will be:
"Share your digital photos
and photo tips"
in our digital camera and photo segment. Many of us have
purchased a digital camera. How do you take great photos to rival a
film camera?
"Researching Your Medical Problems".
Learn how to search the Internet for medical information that you
can really use. Is the information you find trustworthy? Which sites
are reliable? Need a second opinion or wondering about a problem?
Use the computer as a tool to help you talk to your doctor or
medical professional and understand medical terms and procedures.
To add
to your enjoyment, we will hold our usual Mystery Raffle at
the end of the meeting to help fund ACUG's community
service efforts. Our Mystery Raffle prizes are announced during the
meeting. Prize winners are drawn at the end of the meeting, and you
must be present to win.
You won't want to miss this exciting opportunity for some great
prizes, while enjoying an evening of friendly conversation aimed at
helping you both use & choose software and hardware. Learn to
get more out of your computer! ACUG has raffled some great items,
don't miss it! Tickets are $1 each or 10
for $5.
Our prizes this month
