March 2009 General Meeting:

Our General Meeting on Tuesday, March 3rd, featured: "ACUG's Computer Classroom". The meeting is held as a round table discussion that includes special presentations.

Bring your questions and computer problems to the meetings, and let the group help you with suggestions and solutions. The atmosphere is friendly and suited to both beginners, intermediate and expert users.

Our Featured Presentations:

"Listening and Working With Music". ACUG  presented an overview of how to download, listen and work with music files. How to rip music and burn CD's.

"Share your Favorite Web site or Web Tips". Bring your great sites and let others know about them.

"Share your digital photos and photo tips" in  our digital camera and photo segment. Many of us have purchased a digital camera. How do you take great photos to rival a film camera? Share your tips.

 

Raffle Prizes

To add to your enjoyment, we held our usual Mystery Raffle at the end of the meeting to help fund ACUG's community service efforts. Our Mystery Raffle prizes are announced during the meeting. Prize winners are drawn at the end of the meeting, and you must be present to win.

You won't want to miss this exciting opportunity for some great prizes, while enjoying an evening of friendly conversation aimed at helping you  both use & choose software and hardware. Learn to get more out of your computer! ACUG has raffled some great items, don't miss it! Tickets are $1 each or 10 for $5.

A special raffle was held for a delicious buffet dinner for two at the Jackson Rancheria Raging River Restaurant, generously donated by the Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel on New York Ranch Road. Take someone to a great All You Can Eat Buffet dinner (not to exceed $50) for the cost of a raffle ticket! Not valid for gratuity or to-go orders. Management reserves all rights. Raffle Tickets are $5 each. Won by Dick Billheimer.

Program Schedule and Meeting Notes:

  • The ACUG Library Raffle Ticket Sales and Membership table will open for business at 6:45 PM

  • The meeting starts at 7 PM with an introduction by the President.

  • ACUG's Computer Classroom starts at 7:10 PM

  • Questions are welcome. Bring your tips to share.

  • Featured Presentations start at 7:30 PM. 

  • Break and Raffle 8:00 PM. There are at least 3 prizes offered. You must be present to win.

  •  Classroom Q & A  resumes at 8:10 PM

  • Meetings end at 8:30 PM.
