January 2010
General Meeting:

Our General Meeting on Tuesday, January 5th, featured: "ACUG's Computer Classroom". The meeting is held as a round table discussion that includes special presentations.

Bring your questions and computer problems to the meetings, and let the group help you with suggestions and solutions. The atmosphere is friendly and suited to both beginners, intermediate and expert users.

Our Featured Presentations:

"The Future of the Amador Computers User Group". ACUG Members were encouraged to attend and decide the future of their club. Volunteers are needed for several key positions. Do you want monthly meetings to continue? Do you prefer day or night meetings? Do you want to see the New Users SIG continued? Come discuss these and other questions, your comments are welcome. The club needs your support.

The club will be taking a new direction at the vote of the membership, led by our new president and Board of Directors. Stay Tuned for more information.

Also, the club celebrated our 16th Annual Election Night, the 16th Annual Installation of Officers, and the 12th Annual Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony.

16th Annual Elections:
We held elections for office at the January meeting. Members chose who theyACUG Elections would like to represent them on the ACUG Board of Directors. This was your last chance to nominate or write in someone you think will be an asset to the Board this year. However, if you would like to help in some capacity, you can volunteer your services to the club anytime!

Ballots were handed out to ACUG members. One ballot is voted per family membership of those present. Thank you all for participating and making the Amador Computer Users Group the great and award-winning club that it is!

16th Annual Installation of Officers:
The winning candidates were installed as your new officers of the club. Photographs will be taken of the new officers, chairs, committee members and the group in general for the Newsletter, the Webpage and the local newspapers at the end of the meeting. Please see the Board pages for the new list of Officers after the election.
